Come on in to Belle South!

Out of the Georgia pines, into the foothills of the Appalachia, then out to the open spaces of the northern Sonora and finally settling in the central Texas hillcountry; I have lived 33 years in the southern states. I can’t imagine life any other way. I fancy myself a belle, with a little twang.

I have always been a creator of sorts. Always making all kinds of stuff; really living life (or so I thought). It was not until I made a baby that I began to get a glimpse at the beauty of true creation.

It’s is that kind of glimpse that you just have to share. You have to have passion in what you do so you can have pride in what you’ve done. I’m not just talking about big art happenings, business proposals, and running a marathon; I mean everything from hanging clothes on the line to hanging Christmas lights in February cause they are pretty and on sale. From making your own clothes, to making dinner from your homegrown tomatoes and okra. It is the passion for those little nooks and crannies that seeps into the layers of your life and makes it rich and creamy (mmmm… tres leches).

That’s how I see Belle South. A big ol’ piece of southern pie. It’s sweet and warm and you’re not quite sure what alls in it. So come in, catch a glimpse of of my creations, follow the directions to learn how to make your own, or purchase one made with southern love.
